Thailand is now busy preparing for its New Year’s eve celebrations and online bookings are also on the rise. What’s so great about these online bookings is people can plan their trips wherever they may be. They can pick their destinations, activities and choose their schedule just by going online.
The latest website to launch in Thailand is Airbnb. The site not only accommodates bookings for unique accommodations around the world but it also accepts listings for people who want to have their homes and other properties rented out to tourists visiting for a week or so.
This website has, so far, received a high number of bookings for new year’s eve trips to the Thai capital. Bangkok remains to be the most popular city in Thailand for traveler’s planning to celebrate New Year’s eve in this Asian country. Other popular destinations in Thailand are Phuket, Koh Samui and Chiang Mai.
For the year 2012 alone, Airbnb has accommodated more than 140,000 bookings for new year’s eve in 192 countries around the globe. The site has also more than 1,300 listings in Thailand. This figure includes 400 listings in Bangkok, 250 in Phuket and 170 in Koh Samui.
Unaware to some of you, the mother of all parties in Thailand is the new year’s eve event on Koh Pha Ngan where the popular full-moon party takes place. The beaches in Had Rin and Leela are where the action occurs. Had Yuan is where a luxurious stay can be experienced.
For some fantastic fireworks show, head to Phuket, Karon Beach and Patong Beach. At these places, visitors will enjoy a countdown to 2013 party.
