Having spent many years living in Thailand, one of the things that I miss about the Uk, though there aren’t many, is a traditional Christmas Day Dinner. Late December in Pattaya, brings hot sunny days and a steady increasing number of tourists heading to Thailand for some winter sunshine. It’s at this time of year that my mind wanders back to my previous Christmas Festivities in England.
So what can you expect from a Christmas Dinner in Pattaya? There are many bars and traditional english restaurants in Pattaya, and most of them make an extra effort to create a festive atmosphere for the benefit of ex-pats and tourists looking for some Yuletide entertainment.
One of my favourites is an English Restaurant in Cosy Beach, near to Jomtien and they’ve provided an excellent Christmas Day Menu for more than ten years. Christmas Dinner in Pattaya at The Wishing Well offers a feast of Turkey and Trimmings, fresh vegetables, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mince pies and of course a huge portion of christmas pudding, complimented by a glass of Napoleon Brandy. Apart from snow and freezing temperatures, no expense is spared to satisfy the guests at this traditional english restaurant in Pattaya, with christmas crackers, party hats and a christmas tree with fairy lights and tinsel. During the Xmas Dinner, there will be some ‘good ‘ol christmas tunes’ in the background such as “Merry Christmas” by Slade and “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby.
Holiday-makers heading for Thailand at Christmas time, and Pattaya in particular, will be pleased to know that Thai’s are among the most friendly and tolerant people on earth, and they will do anything and everything to make you feel welcome and happy. So don’t be surprised to see a plethera of young Thai girls dressed as Santa Claus offering you some ‘yo ho ho’ on Christmas Day in Pattaya. Famous for their permanent smiles, Thai’s certainly know how to party and Pattaya people, party better than most. Known as the ‘Extreme City’, Christmas in Pattaya will leave you thoroughly exhausted, but totally satisfied.
Our Christmas Day Menu has proven to be extremely popular over the last ten years, and has remained at this competitive price of just 850 baht for the previous three years. Christmas Dinner in Pattaya will have several sittings throughout Christmas day, with afternoon and evening reservations being taken from 2.00pm onwards. We strongly advise our guests to book in advance to avoid disappointment as there are limited spaces available for Xmas Day. For those who feel that our full course Christmas Menu may be too much for them, we offer just the Turkey or Roast Beef Dinner at the very reasonable price of 600 baht. If you’ve never been to The Wishing Well in Cosy Beach and you’re undecided whether to book for our Christmas Fayre, we welcome you to call in during the festivities of Pattaya at Christmas and sample the quality and value of our Roast Dinners and friendly atmosphere, available seven days a week.
The Wishing Well English Restaurant in Pattaya would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our guests and friends a very merry christmas and a prosperous new year. If you’re in Pattaya at Christmas, we welcome you to join us for a traditional Christmas Day Dinner with everything provided, except the snow.
